Agung Setiyo Wibowo is a Jakarta-based Management Consultant, Self-Discovery Coach, Lecturer, Author & Public Speaker. He is currently advisor at Guidepoint, Senior Consultant at Manuver Corp, and Adjunct Lecturer at Universitas Satya Negara Indonesia. Prior to that, he worked for POMOSDA, KOMPAS, The ASEAN Secretariat, Partnership for Governance Reform, Schlumberger, SWA, AndrewTani & Co, Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji, Veloz Training Home Credit, BlueVisions Management, and Tiens. Born in Magetan, East Java on February 28, 1988, Kejawen and Sufism are his way of life.
Wibowo studied in POMOSDA (a Nganjuk-based Islamic boarding school) for 5 years. In 2012, he received his Bachelor degree in Political Science from University of Paramadina Jakarta where he was a fellow of Theodore Permadi Rachmat, one of Southeast Asia’s richest and most respectable businessmen. In 2015, Wibowo holds a MSc. in International Relations from University of Indonesia where he was an awardee of Prospective Lecturer Scholarship from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia.
In his younger age, Wibowo has received several prestigious awards such as the 2005 Nganjuk Most Distinguished Student Award, the 2007 Magetan Tourism Ambassador, the 2010 Spirit of Majapahit Cultural Ambassador, the 2010 Runner-Up Jakarta Language Ambassador, the 2010 Paramadina Ambassador, the 2011 ASEAN Blogger Ambassador, the 2011 Young Leaders for Indonesia, and the 2015 Euro Asia Foundation Success Academy Awardee. The US-based East-West Center also awarded him as a fellow to attend the Summer Institute in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in 2012.
An award-winning writer, Wibowo has published 15 books and 750+ articles in scholarly journal, magazine, newspaper and new media.
